The LaSalle Strawberry Festival takes place from today through Sunday at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex (2121 Laurier Parkway) featuring a carnival, fireworks, parade, entertainment, and local strawberries.
Admission
Admission is $5 per person at the gate, kids 5 and under and seniors 65 + are free, and weekend passes are $12 per person. Advanced admission tickets can be purchased online at www.lasalletickets.ca.
Festival Hours
Thursday, June 8 – 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Friday, June 9 – 3 p.m. until 11 p.m.
Saturday, June 10 – 10:30 a.m. until 11 p.m.
Sunday, June 11 – 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Carnival
The carnival rides, operated by Roberston Amusement, run the same hours as the festival.
Beginning on Thursday, June 8, carnival tickets can be purchased on-site only. 1 ride ticket is $1.75. Rides are 1-3 tickets on average or more per ride.
Carnival specials include Toonie night on Thursday, June 8. All rides are only $2! Friday, June 9, purchase a $40 Unlimited Ride Pass. The pass can be used on Friday only and is available for purchase in the park.
Fireworks
The Fireworks Show, presented by Valente Development Corporation, will be launched on Friday at 10:00 pm near the pond at the Vollmer Complex. A great view of the fireworks can be seen from anywhere on the Vollmer Complex grounds.
LaSalle Transit
Ride LaSalle Transit 25 for free from June 8 to 10! The bus service has been enhanced during the LaSalle Strawberry Festival with free service and extended hours to match those of the festival. Buses will run during festival hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with final pick-ups at the Vollmer Complex taking place a few minutes after the festival closes.
One free shuttle bus will also run on Friday night to bring patrons to and from the festival for the fireworks. The bus will travel between the Event Centre at 970 Front Road and the Vollmer Complex between 7:00 pm and 11:00 pm. Parking is first come first serve and is available at the Event Centre by entering the parking lot from Bouffard Road.
Parade
The LaSalle Strawberry Festival parade will travel along Front Rd. beginning at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 10. The parade starts at Old Front Road and ends at Sacred Heart Dr. Please note that Front Rd. will be closed between Morton Dr. and Sacred Heart Dr. from 9:00 am to approximately 10:45. Please use an alternate route.
LaSalle Transit Route 25 will be redirected for the parade. Bus stops located on Matchette Rd., Morton Dr., Front Rd., and International Ave. are closed between 9:00 am and noon on Saturday, June 11. The route will resume normal operation, with all bus stops open, following the parade. LaSalle Transit is free all weekend. Safety at the Festival
The Town of LaSalle is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience. Everyone should expect and help to promote an environment where people are treated in a respectful manner. The Town of LaSalle will not tolerate unsafe, abusive, unlawful, or offensive conduct. Guests who engage in this type of behaviour are subject to being ejected from and potentially banned from the festival and the property and may be subject to arrest by local police.
Horseplay including running, chasing, pushing, wrestling, etc. will not be tolerated and will result in the guest(s) being removed from the festival. Festival admission will close 45 minutes prior to the festival closing time each day. Visit our website for a full list of Festival General Rules.
Accessibility
The festival grounds are paved and wheelchair accessible. Barrier-free restrooms are located throughout the event. Accessible parking spaces can be found in paved parking lots 1 and 4. Please note that parking lots 6 and 7 are stone lots. View the Vollmer Complex Grounds Map.
Accessible seating is offered at the front of the main stage and at the iFlip Trampoline Show area. Sensory-friendly hour, with limited noise and lights, takes place on Sunday, June 11 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Bikes and Bags
A free bicycle valet service is provided by Bike Windsor-Essex. Festival patrons are encouraged to ride their bike to the festival and drop it off at the valet tent located near entrance #1.
All persons and bags entering the festival will be subject to security inspection. Approved bags cannot exceed 𝟭𝟰” 𝘅 𝟭𝟰” 𝘅 𝟲”. No backpacks are permitted. Diaper bags and medical bags are allowed. A bag check is available at the Bike Windsor Essex Bike Valet, entrance #1, for $2.00 (cash only).
No Smoking/No Vaping
The smoking of tobacco or cannabis and vaping of any substance is prohibited on or within 20 metres of the Vollmer Complex property.
