The LaSalle Vipers are pleased to welcome Anthony Iaquinta as the club’s new head coach. Iaquinta, who has led the Lakeshore Canadiens for the past six years, achieved notable success under his guidance, including winning two Ontario Schmalz Cup Championships.
Lakeshore Canadiens General Manager Mark Seguin shared his thoughts on Iaquinta’s departure. “The Canadiens are proud to produce quality players and staff in order for them to move up in the ranks,” Seguin said.
“We thank Anthony and wish him continued success in the next step of his journey; this is a well-deserved appointment. We would also like to thank Milan for his effort and dedication over the past six years. The Canadiens will begin a thorough search for their next staff.”
Reflecting on his new role with the Vipers, Iaquinta expressed enthusiasm. “I am excited to start this new challenge with the LaSalle Vipers. It feels great to come back to where I grew up. My time with the Lakeshore Canadiens was unbelievable. I am thankful to Mark Seguin for taking a chance on me and for his unwavering support and mentorship.”
Vipers General Manager John Nelson also commented on the addition of Iaquinta. “I am excited to work with Anthony. He’s an excellent person with a likeable personality,” Nelson said. “Anthony and his staff will hold the players accountable, continue to create an excellent environment, and more importantly, he’s a stand-up person with a great coaching resume.”
Milan Dobric, the new assistant coach, will join Iaquinta with the Vipers and serve as the new Head Coach. Dobric and Iaquinta have successfully coached the Lakeshore Canadiens together over the past five years. The remainder of the coaching staff will be announced soon.
