A Letter from Golden Age Club President

Announcing the re-opening of the Fort Malden Golden Age Centre, also known as the Golden Age Club.

The Golden Age Club was on hold during the COVID pandemic; well not anymore.

We are happy to announce, with the COVID numbers dropping in Ontario, the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit and the Town of Amherstburg have given the ‘go ahead’ for us to restart our club activities.

Our club activities include pepper, euchre, cribbage, bingo, and line dancing. In addition, as soon as the WECHU gives us the nod, we’ll be hosting our tournaments and our yummy subsidized meals.

We operate out of the Libro Centre, 3275 Meloche Rd, Amherstburg, Monday to Friday. The hours vary according to the activity you choose. There is a lot of information for you to check out on our website at www.goldenagecentre.ca. If you have questions, call 519 736-3367.

We are welcoming new members. Although members can be of any age, noting that our activities are provided on weekdays and during daytime, our members range in age from mid-fifties to over the nineties and beyond. The membership fee is $10 a year. That $10 gives members access to all activities.

Isolation has been tough on all of us… So come on out and have some fun, see old friends, and make new ones. We hope to see you soon.
