Lakeshore Recreation Facilities to Reopen on Jan. 31

Capacity restrictions will apply for facilities rentals and programs

Lakeshore’s recreation facilities will re-open to the public on Monday, Jan. 31, following the easing of health restrictions as announced by the Provincial government last week. 

All recreation facilities will re-open at 50 percent capacity, including the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre, Comber Community Centre and Libro Community Centre in Woodslee.

Other services including drop-in programs, ice rink and facility rental will have limited capacity. Visit or call 519-727-0470 for more information regarding registration.

Participants 12 years of age or older will be required to follow the COVID-19 screening procedures and present QR vaccination codes. To access vaccination status visit

Only essential visitors will be allowed to access Lakeshore Town Hall. Residents will need to wear a mask and complete the COVID-19 form available at To ensure staff availability, residents are asked to call ahead for information and alternative service options.

“We hope this is the light at the end of the tunnel we’ve all been waiting for,” said Lakeshore Mayor Tom Bain. “Even though we’re on the way back to normal, we’re continuing to ask everyone to do their part which means getting vaccinated, staying home if you’re sick, and abiding by public health measures designed to keep our community safe.”
