The Town of LaSalle is pleased to announce that the ‘Holiday Lights Heritage Nights’ event was selected for the ‘My Main Street Community Activator Program.’
The Town and has received $75,000 to support holiday events in the Malden Town Centre.
Through the Government of Canada’s ‘My Main Street Community Activator,’ delivered by the Canadian Urban Institute, LaSalle will enjoy a more vibrant neighbourhood setting that will draw visitors and increase foot traffic to the Malden Town Centre to visit the LaSalle Civic Centre and the surrounding shops and restaurants.
The Town of LaSalle is supported by My Main Street – a two-year, $23.25-million investment by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
Until Jan. 8, 2023, this beautiful outdoor light display will transform the area into a magical outdoor walk-through holiday wonderland, including numerous ornamental and holiday lighting displays and a 40-foot-tall walk-through tree.
Weekend activities will take place between today through December 18, including Family Fridays, Sounds of the Seasons Saturdays, and Sunday Night Markets that attract thousands of visitors to the Malden Town Centre.
New this year, visitors can bring their ice skates and helmets and try the Glice Synthetic Eco Rink for a family recreational skate. Warming stations will give visitors a chance to take a break, warm up, and snap some great photos while making memories this holiday season.

“Our event is a great meeting place in the Malden Town Centre to celebrate the season. With the light display and weekend programming, we offer activities for everyone.”
