The LaSalle Stompers held an exciting and fun filled weekend at their ‘Day of Champions’ earlier in August. Congratulations to all the winners and a thanks to all the parents, organizers and volunteers who made the entire season happen! Another big winner this weekend included the St. Andrews LaSalle Food Bank. Stompers stepped up and donated over 7000 food items to the bank.
“A special shout out to the LaSalle Stompers who took time out on their Day of Champions to help the food and bank, as well a giving back to our community,” said Deb Wilkinson. Amazing! We’re very grateful for the support.
The LaSalle Food bank has served the community for 25 years and are supported by donations from the people of LaSalle.
“We can always use the support especially in the summer months, with kids at more…they eat more…,” laughed Wilkinson. “An event like this helps bridge that gap and tales us through the season.”
