Windsor Police have announced that the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit investigators applied for and were granted a search warrant to examine a seized cellular phone as a part of the initial investigation.
As a result of the search warrant, evidence of voyeurism that took place while the accused was working as a dental hygienist was located. The incidents occurred during work, between October 2021 to December 2021, at two separate dental offices, both of which are located in the City of Windsor.
On Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022, members of ICE Unit attended a residence located in the Town of LaSalle and arrested the accused without incident.
Sebastian Mehenka, a 28 year old male from LaSalle, is charged with two counts of Voyeurism.
Investigators were able to identify the involved adult female victims, however, they believe that there is potential for further victims. While there might be reluctance on the part of victims to come forward, we encourage them to come forward and we want them to know that they will be supported.
The Windsor Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit is a member of the Province of Ontario’s Provincial Strategy to Project Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet. This project has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
