Strawberry Festival Highlights

The LaSalle Strawberry Festival takes place from June 9-12 at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex (2121 Laurier Parkway) featuring a carnival, fireworks, parade, entertainment, and local strawberries.

 

Admission

Admission is $5 per person at the gate (kids 5 and under and seniors 65+ are free), or weekend passes are $12 per person. Advanced admission tickets can be purchased online at lasalletickets.ca beginning Friday, June 3.

 

Festival Hours

Thursday, June 9 – 6 pm to 10 pm

Friday, June 10 – 3 pm to 11 pm

Saturday, June 11 – 10:30 am to 11 pm

Sunday, June 12 – 10 am to 4 pm

 

Carnival

The carnival operates the same hours as the festival. Advanced tickets are available for purchase from now until Wednesday, June 8 at the Vollmer Complex. Purchase 35 tickets for $40 (9 tickets for free)! After June 8, carnival tickets can be purchased on-site only.

Carnival specials include Toonie night on Thursday, June 9. All rides are $2. Friday, June 10, purchase a $30 Unlimited Ride Pass. The pass can only be used on Friday and is available for purchase in the park.

 

Entertainment

Plenty of entertainment all weekend long. Check out the Entertainment Schedule on the LaSalle Strawberry Festival web page. Take in the Festival Parade on Saturday, June 11 along Front Rd. starting at 10 am. The Flying Fools High Dive Show is offered many times over the festival weekend and is a must-see.

 

Activities

Lots of family-friendly, fun activities including a strawberry eating contest, strawberry planting, and don’t miss the mascot dance-off where you can cheer on your favourite mascot to win. Don’t forget to check out the dazzling Friday night Fireworks on the Vollmer Complex park grounds.

On Sunday morning, the Youth Fishing Derby presented by Just Fishin’ Friends and the LaSalle Police Association will be held at the LaSalle Boat Ramp at Gil Maure Park at 8 am. Registration is on-site only until 10 am.

 

Animals

Animals are not allowed at the festival. Service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are welcome.

 

Bikes and Bags

Ride your bike to the festival. Bike Friendly Windsor-Essex will be hosting a free bicycle valet service. They will be located near entrance #2.

All persons and bags entering the festival will be subject to security inspection. Approved bags cannot exceed 14” x 14” x 6”. No backpacks are permitted. Diaper bags and medical bags are permitted. A bag check is available at the Bike Valet for $2 (cash only).

 

Parking

Festival parking is free in designated spots only. Plenty of accessible parking spots will be available. Parking on-site is limited. First come first served. Stay tuned for more information about LaSalle Transit Service.
